Childhood trauma and non-suicidal self-injury in adolescence: is there a possible association?
50,00 €
Non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI) is a frequent phenomenon in adolescence and an important clinical challenge.
In recent years, evidence has pointed to a possible relationship between early traumatic experiences —such as abuse, neglect, or exposure to violence— and the development of these behaviors.
In this presentation, we will review current evidence on this association, analyzing the possible psychological mechanisms involved and their implications for clinical assessment and intervention.
An updated, evidence-based approach to better understand NSSI in the adolescent population.
